VoIP or voice over internet protocol is a technology that for many has unknowingly been around for quite some time, and over the past decade has become more popular. Voice over internet protocol allows people to make calls over the internet instead of by telephone. By communicating over a broadband network rather than through an analogue connection, there are many benefits that come about from using the internet as a means of communication. Because the internet is a very public source however, the risk of security threats is very high. The world of technology is forever changing, and voice over internet protocol is one of those technological advances that has changed the way that we communicate with one another forever.
